My Random Things:

1. I am more than likely not having any more children. One and done!
2. I absolutely adore Whippets and have two whom I plan to enroll in flyball and agility training.
3. I love square foot gardening.
4. I do not enjoy indoor domestic activities, including cooking.
5. I want to move to Maine.
6. My favorite activities include travel, watching movies, hiking, reading, and photography.
7. I enjoy downsizing material posessions.
8.  I hardly ever listen to music in the car and would rather drive and ride in silence.
9.  I wish I was a beautiful contemporary dancer.
10. Never thought I was an animal person and nowfind myself with three dogs, two cats, and fish.
11.  I want to spend time in mission work overseas.

1. If there was one place you could travel to, what would it be?
Only one?! This is hard. Right now it would be France. All over France.

2. Name 3 things from your "bucket list".
Retiring in Maine. Being involved in significant mission work. Becoming fluent in another language.

Having puppies is teaching us so much as we head into 2012, mainly that material posessions are worthless, naps are important for rejuvenation, and in order to care for others we have to take care of ourselves. Life lessons indeed.

Introducing the newest members of the Marlin household: Dash and Violet, brother and sister 12 week old whippets. If you have children, especially boys, you may be familiar with their human alter egos from The Incredibles. Dash is quite the troublemaker, while Violet is super sweet. We are in the process of potty training right now, and Maggie is showing them the ropes. They are actually doing really well in that department. They spend most of their time fighting with each other, snuggling with each other, playing with their toys, and searching for items to chew on. I think the cats have finally forgiven us for bringing home the puppies, but they are not necessarily pleased. We travelled 5.5 hours last weekend to pick them up from Pleasant Hope, Missouri, and it was well worth it! More to come...

Cole turned 5 this summer! We celebrated by taking 15 other 4 and 5 year olds to see Cars 2. Lots of fun was had by all. Especially since each child had a parent in attendance as well. :)

Well, Cole graduated from Pre-school this month. He will be turning five in June and starts Kindergarten this fall. Watching him grow up is exciting. Can't wait to see what the next year holds for him.

I have determined two things this spring. One, spring comes about a month later compared to Arkansas. Two, Nebraska has the most fields of dandelions I have ever seen.

During a work trip to Lincoln, we planned an outing to the Lincoln Children's Zoo. As you can see, Cole easily identified with one of their exhibits. Although it was much smaller than the Henry Doorly Zoo here in Omaha, it was a fun outing nonetheless.

We were so lucky this year to be able to visit Disneyland! Lee actually had a conference on the Disneyland Resort, so Cole and I decided to pay a visit as well! We had such a great extended weekend hanging out with Mickey and his friends. Have to admit I prefer Disneyworld, but it was nice to see some of the differences between the two.

I think this is the funniest picture I have ever taken. For one, Lee looks about eight months pregnant the way he is arching his back in an attempt to be out of the shot, and second, Cole's face makes it seem he is hanging on for dear life twenty feet up in the air, as opposed to two. FUNNY.
